In this story there was a cat named Whiskers and a little girl, Laura. Laura had a memory string to keep memories of her Mom, Dad, and other people who were important to her. Each person on the string was represented by a bead. Whiskers got his feelings hurt and felt jealous so he cut the string in half with his little claws! Laura was very sad about this.
I liked the story because of the memory string. I thought that was a neat idea, and maybe I could make one for myself one day! My favorite character was Whiskers the cat because he breaks the memory string. My favorite part of the story is when Whiskers gets mad when the little girl holds him. I can relate to Laura because I have also had someone in my family die.
I would recommend this book to people who like cats, adventures, and really good pictures. This book is good for ages 4-10.
