Rosamond, Nate the Great's strange neighbor, wants to give Nate a birthday present but it gets lost. Nate wants to find the present but Rosamond won't tell Nate the Great what it is because she doesn't want to ruin the suprise.
I liked this book because I like to find the clues to solve the mystery of the missing present. My favorite part was when I learned about the milk cartons. It gave me a good clue to solve the mystery. There were some funny parts in this book, too. For example, when Nate was following the footprint tracks and ended up walking in circles. It made me laugh.
I recommend this book to all third graders who like to read detective stories. I also think kids who like Nate the Great will enjoy this book.
