It's about a girl named Ruby. Her grandmother went to Hawaii. She writes to her grandma. They have a secret mailbox.
Ruby has three chickens: Ivy, Bemmie, and Bess. Ruby has one friend named Dove. Ruby does not like Melba Jane at all.
My favorite part was when Melba gets paint all over her. This was my favorite book that I have read all summer. I love the book. I like Ruby and her grandma because I like when they write to each other.
I reccomend the book to everyone.
