Roxaboxen is a book about a made-up town in the desert that is created by kids. They pretend that black pebbles are money. There are two ice cream stores. There is also a cemetery that has a grave for a lizard that died. The main characters of the story are the kids who made up Roxaboxen. The lesson of this story is to have an imagination.
I liked the book because the children were very imaginative. They built a town out of rocks and boxes. I liked the illustrations because it reminds me of Mexico. There are cacti and it is in the desert. I felt happy when I was reading Roxaboxen because the children were using their time wisely.
I would recommend this book to children ages 3 to 11 because in the story, the children are playing and making their own houses. This story could help other children create their own towns.
