This book is about having courage. Lucy and her Papa have courage. Then a boy named Ralph is mean to her. He makes fun of her hair and what she eats for lunch. One day he gives her a note that says even more mean things. Then Ralph gets stuck on top of the monkey bars and is really scared. Lucy thinks this is her chance to tell Ralph how M-E-A-N MEAN he is. She marches over and ... you will have to read the book to find out what she does.
In my opinion the ending was unexpected. The pictures were great because they were colorful. The title makes people curious about what is going to happen. I love that Lucy's friend shouts funny jokes at lunch.
I recommend this book to every age. Even if they can't read it they would enjoy it being read to them. They will give it a thumbs up!
