Patricia wants a horse more than anything. One day in the summer in Michigan her dad took her to a riding camp. At first the people at the stable seemed mean and riding was hard. Patricia kept going. She fell in love with a hose named Penny. When Penny got hurt Patricia and her friends did as much as they could to save her. Will Penny be saved?
This book reminded me of my horse Jack. It reminded me of Jack because he almost died. I loved the character Penny because I love horses. I liked the book because I love horses. I love horses because they are intelligent and pretty. It reminds me of many books.
I recommend this book because it has a great mix of emotions. An example is when Penny almost died and when she is saved. I recommend this book to people who love Patricia Polacco and horses. The story might be interesting to readers because of the emotions.
