Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Getaway

Diary of a wimpy kid is a book about a kid named Greg Heffley. Finally, summer vacation came, but this summer vacation did not go well for Greg. As soon as the vacation started, they were on the plane. As they arrived, the guilt trip started. Mom thought it was a great idea to come to England. Dad suggested just to fly home but Mom said that the flight home was exactly 6,000 dollars and they should enjoy the vacation. When they went snorkeling, they left Rodrick behind and they searched for him. But when they found him, he sunburned himself, that was pretty brutal. They even forgot to book a hotel in advance so they had to drive to the nearest hotel, which was literally 1.9 stars. So they ended up in that hotel for more than a month, oof!

I like this book because it can make you laugh and has a lot of action. My favorite part of the whole book was when Greg showered for too long and found a tarantula in his slipper, and he accidentally called for food. But when the huge spider came too close to the toilet, Greg knocked the spider in the toilet bowl with the toilet water. They thought they had finished the spider, but they haven't.

I would recommend this book to kids and adults who like laughing and reading. This book has such a great topic that I read it three times and I couldn't get enough. I think it's perfect for kids between grade 2 and 5. It was the best book I ever read.
