Mr. Popper's Penguins

Mr. Popper is a wall painter in the town of Stillwater. He is also a very lazy man. All winter he doesn't have to work at all. All winter he reads about Antarctica (in case you don't know what Antarctica is, it's a very cold continent way down at the south pole). Admiral Drake is an explorer and sends Mr. Popper a penguin, so Mr. and Mrs. Popper decide to keep him (by the way the penguin's name is Captain Cook). Mr. Popper does a lot of funny stuff just to take care of his penguins and the penguins do a lot of funny stuff too. They go through a lot of very funny stuff like trains, theaters and lots of other stuff. This is a very exhausting book. And then the penguins... well you'll just have to read the book to find out what the penguins do.
I recommend this book to people who like fun, action, and penguins because this book has a lot of that stuff. I like this book because it is very funny and weird. I am like Mr. Popper because we both want a lot of action and are lazy. My mom is like Mrs. Popper because they are always busy. I also liked the illustrations because they showed just what it said in the book. I think everyone should read this book because it is very funny.
