Don't step away from The Hobbit. In this book, a little man called a Bilbo is living a peaceful life until 13 dwarves come over unexpectedly. They spend the night at his house. They plan and go on a long journey, spending a lot of time horseback riding. They spend days and nights trekking, but when they finally get to their destination, they find the dragon named Smaug. The question is, will they defeat him? And why did they even try to find a dragon? Find out in The Hobbit, a great and wondrous book.
The Hobbit is part of a series with three other books. My favorite part of the book is when the humans and animals are fighting the dragon. It's very exciting. The Hobbit reminds me of Harry Potter books. They both have magic and magical animals, evil animals and humans.
Bilbo is my favorite character. He doesn't like journeys at all, but the other side of him takes over and he goes on the journey. He is a very popular hobbit in his town.
I think The Hobbit is a great book because it is very exciting. Some parts are a little scary, but my hand didn't want to let go of the book! I wonder if the other books are just as exciting. This is a great fantasy book with a wonderful story to it. It's one of my favorites. Check it out in a library, or buy it. You will want to read it over and over!
