In this story, a girl has a magic finger. It turns everyone who she puts the magic finger spell on into an animal. A family, the Greggs, gets the magic finger put on them and they get turned into ducks, but only partly ducks. They have wings and can fly, but they still speak English.
I liked the part where the Greggs had to sleep in a nest because the ducks had taken over their home. It was fun to read because it told how they built the nest and how they survived. This book reminded me of another great story called The Island of the Blue Dolphins.
I recommend this book to young readers who like short, hilarious stories.
