Sophie gets her gorilla taken away by her sister. This makes her feel angry. She screams kicks and acts angry. She leaves her house and runs until she can?t run any more. Then she cries a little. She then comes to an old tree. She climbs the tree. While she sits there she feels better. She goes back home happy. Then she goes back to her room and paints a picture of her family and her.
I like the book because I liked the ending, but I?m not going to tell you what it is now! I liked the happy part of the story. I liked Sophie, because I understood how she felt and why she got angry. I didn?t really like her mother and her sister. The pictures were nice and beautiful, and I liked the colors. I liked the pictures where Sophie feels happy and feels better. I also like the pictures of the beech tree outdoors and all the flowers and other trees. This book reminds me a little bit of ?The Little Mermaid,? because her daughter Melody gets mad too.
The book also reminds me of when sometimes my brother bothers me and I get angry. I think my best friend and my family would like this book because there?s a family in the book and because there are happy parts. Other kids would like this book because maybe sometimes they get angry and cry, and because when they get their toys taken away they may feel sad, and the book teaches children what to do when they get angry or sad.
