The Lost Tooth Club

Once there was a girl named Olivia. She wanted to be in The Lost Tooth Club...but there was only one problem. She had not lost a single tooth, but she had a loose tooth. She wiggled her tooth back and forth as hard as she could. Then she told her dog Petey, "It will be the day the dinosaurs come back when this tooth falls out!" That night, when Olivia looked out her window, she thought the moon had a missing tooth. She fell asleep and dreamt about a polar bear with a missing tooth, a squirrel with a missing tooth, a mouse with a missing tooth, her cat Ferdi with a missing tooth, and her dog Petey with no front tooth. She tried to color her tooth black, she tried taking a little white pebble and put some black licorice on her tooth, but it didn't work. Nothing did! Does Olivia lose her tooth? Will she be able to get into The Lost Tooth Club? Read the book and see!

We enjoyed this book because the book reminded us of when we wanted to lose our first teeth. We liked it when Olivia said, "It will be the day the dinosaurs come back when this tooth falls out!" We also liked the part when Olivia looked out her window and she thought she saw the moon with a missing tooth. She fell asleep and dreamt of a polar bear with a missing tooth, a squirrel with a missng tooth, a mouse with a missing tooth, her cat Ferdi with a missing tooth, and her dog Petey with no front tooth. We liked these parts because she exaggerated. We like the book because she tries funny tricks to get into The Lost Tooth Club, like when she grabbed a piece of licorice and put it on her tooth and took a little white pebble and pretended that the pebble was her tooth, and the licorice was the space. The book reminded us of the book, Earrings! because in that book, the girl wants earrings, and in The Lost Tooth Club, the girl wants to lose her tooth.

We recommend this book to readers who want to lose their first teeth because in the book, the girl wants to lose her first tooth and the readers can relate to the book. We recommend this book to all ages. If you enjoy friendship stories, you will enjoy this book.
