This book is really a song with pictures. There are a lot of animals in the book, like a porcupine, a snake, elephant, cat, pelican, fish, fox, monkey, and a parrot. They eat lots of different food, like fish and ice cream. At the end, there is a big feast.
I like this book because it has a song in it. I like the cat, too. This is the first Eric Carle book I have ever read! He uses fingerpainting and regular painting in his illustrations. It makes the pictures look very pretty.
I would recommend this book to all the kids in my class because the feast would be fun to pretend to be at! Kids would like this book because kids like food!
