This is a story about Mr. Fox and his family. Mr. Fox always stole from three mean farmers. Their names were Boggis, Bunce and Bean. Boggis was very, very fat. Bunce was a short guy who eats ducks and geese. Bean was skinny. He looked like a toothpick. He eats turkey and drinks apple cider. They knew he was the one who kept stealing from them, so first they shot off Mr.Fox's tail. Then, they tried to dig up Mr. Fox. Then they tried to starve him with a bunch of men watching the hole. Then Mr. Fox got an idea. His idea was to dig down under the farms, and he did. Three of the small foxes helped him and so did Badger. At the end, they fooled the farmers and they had a big feast.
My favorite character was the rat. When he got drunk he said "Get out before we get caught. Let me sip my cider in peace!" I liked him because he played the best part in the story. This story reminded me of "Fox and the Beanstalk" because Mr. Fox is in that story too. My favorite chapter was chapter 7, "We'll Never Let Him Go" because when Bean said, "Down you go miserable midget!", and it made me laugh out loud!
I recommend this book because it is witty. I think my class would like this book. I am eight.
