The children were named Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A witch turns them into foods. The mother returned home and her children weren't there. The mother goes to the witch's hut. She has to know each child by the food they are to save them.
My favorite part is when the children turn back into their old selves. My favorite character is Heckedy Peg because the mother chases her and she falls into the water. This book is special because the pictures are almost shadowy and I like the pictures.
People who like really good stories will love this book.
