The Boxcar Children

Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny are orphans. They found an old boxcar in the woods. They ran away from their cross Grandfather. They made the boxcar into their home. Dr. Moore helps their Grandfather find the lost children. Their Grandfather wants them to live with him all the time.

My favorite part of the story was when Henry won the race. He knew how much the twenty-five dollars would mean to Jessie and the rest of the children. Henry is my favorite character, he is a hard and eager worker for his sisters and brother. Their life relates to mine because they face many hardships and had to work very hard to get what they wanted. This story does have pictures and it helped me to understand what the story was all about.

I think others should read this book because it teaches you that you can face hardships and still be successful.
