This is about an old lady named Sarah who lives alone. No one ever smiled or waved to her. So she starts to knit mittens and hang them on a blue spruce tree. The children who take the mittens never find out where they came from.
Our favorite part of this book is when the first little boy finds the mittens, because he feels left out and the mittens make him feel better.
The illustrations in this book are really good and they help you to understand the story better.
Everyone would like this book.
