The Biggs are big people who live in a house, and they share it with the Littles - a family of little people. They share the same house, but the Biggs don't even know that the Littles exist. The Bigg family went on vacation. While they were away, the Newcombs watched their house. Because the Biggs left food out, they ended up with a mouse problem. The Littles try to tell them about the mice, but they can't, so Tom Little dresses up in a mouse costume that Granny Little has made for him. After the Newcombs see Tom, they leave mouse traps out to catch him. Read this book to learn more of the adventures the Littles have in the Biggs house.
I like this book because it's a good fiction book, and a story like this could never happen. The Littles books are part of a series. I like the idea of having a tiny family living in the walls of a house. It might be fun to have little people living in your walls. My favorite part is when Uncle Pete makes fun of one of the big people because she can't tell the difference between a real mouse and a fake one. My favorite character is Tom because he is brave. He has to shoot an arrow at a mouse. That doesn't seem like such a big deal, but think how big a mouse is compared to you if you are only a few inches tall! It would be like shooting an arrow at a dragon.
I would recommend this book to people of all ages because it's a story I think all people might enjoy. It is a good family book for kids and parents to read together. I think grandparents would like it too, because they might get a kick out of Granny Little because she can't see very well and she gets people in her family mixed up.
