This book is about a boy and a girl named Jack and Annie who want to go to the rainforest. When they get there, they hear a lot of sounds and see a lot of animals like yellow birds, two lemurs, a deer and a peacock. When they are in the rainforest they go through a lot of trouble like swinging on vines to get away from a tiger and making loud noises to make a rhino go away. When Jack and Annie are in a tree, they find an elephant so they hop on. The elephant takes Jack and Annie to a river and they hop off the elephant. And if you want to know what happens at the end, read the book Tigers at Twilight.
I think this is a great book because there are a lot of animals and I like animals. My favorite part was when Jack and Annie were swinging away from the tiger because it had a lot of action. I thought it was interesting when they had to make loud noises and clap to get the rhino to leave.
I recommend this book because it teaches you about animals. It is also an adventure book. I think 2nd and 3rd graders should read this book because it is a great book. Oh, and if you like this book, there is a series called the Magic Treehouse series. Check it out!
