John Midas loved chocolate. But he had a problem with eating. Everything he puts into his mouth turns to chocolate. John found a coin on the sidewalk. John got a magical chocolate from the storekeeper. But he didn?t know that it was magic yet. John went to Susan?s birthday party. When they were dunking for apples the water and apples turned to chocolate. John and his dad went to see Dr. Cranium. Dr. Cranium told John that he had "chocolatitis". John asked the storekeeper why he got a magical chocolate. The storekeeper made John promise to give up chocolate. When John got home his mother was back to normal.
I liked the book because the story is about chocolate and I like chocolate. I like the part about when John?s breakfast turned to chocolate. Sometimes it would be nice to have chocolate for breakfast! The characters are really funny. Especailly when they were trying to eat John's glove. John said it tasted like chocolate, but his friend said it tasted like old leather. I liked the part in the book when the pencil turned to chocolate. That scene made me laugh.
I would recommend that everyone should read this because it?s a funny story.
