Henry and Mudge and the Funny Lunch

This story is about a little boy named Henry. He and his dad and his best friend Mudge (Henry’s dog) make a funny lunch for Mother’s Day. At the grocery store Henry and his father bought the food they need. Mudge explores and meets grandmas who pet him and babies who put suckers on Mudge’s tongue. Do you want to know what they make? Then you’ll have to read this book! Do you like funny foods? If you do, you’ll find this book hilarious!

I liked Henry and Mudge and the Funny Lunch because it is so funny. Henry and his dad make a pineapple sofa. My favorite part was when Henry and his father made the sofa. The book was great. The story reminds me of when me and my dad made a big tray of chocolate chip cookies for my mom. Henry and his dad made the pineapple sofa out of apple, peach, plum, kiwi, pineapple and marshmallow. I like Henry because he is funny and he does lots of fun stuff with his family.

I recommend this book to people who like funny foods, because in this book a little boy named Henry and his father make a funny food for lunch for Mother’s Day. Do you have a dad who is a good cook? If you do, you should read this book, because in this book Henry’s father is a good cook.
